Univention Corporate Server

Univention Corporate Server (UCS) is a preconfigured server operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux. It has been developed since 2002. The integrated identity and infrastructure management system, the Univention Management Console, differentiates UCS from many other Linux operating systems. It allows the central, cross-location, and cross-platform administration of virtualized server and desktop systems (Microsoft Windows, OS X, or Linux systems). Thanks to Microsoft Active Directory-compatible domain services via the integration of Samba 4, UCS smoothly integrates Windows 7 and other Microsoft operating systems. UCS features comprehensive functions for the parallel operation of virtualized server and desktop operating systems (Windows and Linux). With the Univention App Center, UCS-certified applications can be installed or uninstalled easily and quickly.
